With deep sorrow we have to announce that our beloved Diederick “Dex” van de Werken has left this world.
Diederick “Dex” van de Werken, of North Oaks, MN:
June 30, 1966 to May 18, 2018.
He is survived by son, Max; daughter, Sophia; significant other, Elena and her son, Alec; mother, Yoka; brother, Phillip (Barbara) and their children, Alex and Robert.
Dex was preceded in death by his father, Jan van de Werken.
Dex was born in Bodegraven, the Netherlands. He graduated from Greengates School in Mexico City; received an undergraduate degree from Hofstra University in New York, as well as a Masters in International Management from the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis. After completing his studies he went on to a career in sales, international management, and music management.
Dex was a world traveller and music lover, and enjoyed more than anything coaching his kids in basketball and soccer. His sense of humor, zest for life and caring personality will forever be cherished.
