Delores Ollivette Huff of Ridgely, Maryland passed away on Saturday October 8, 2016, at the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center of Easton, Maryland. She was 67.
She was born July 14, 1949, in Ridgely, Maryland. She was the daughter of the late Asa L. Huff and Clara Thomas Huff. Delores was a 1967 graduate of North Caroline High School. She attended Bowie State College in Bowie, Maryland and graduatedwith a Bachelors of Social Work degree in 1974. She worked for the University of Maryland library system from 1974 to 2006.
Delores was a devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Dennis A. Huff, brothers Arnold Eugene Huff and Clinton (Jigger) Huff. She is survived by one grandson, Dennis A. Huff, Jr. (Denton, Maryland); two brothers, Freeman E. Huff (Ridgely, MD) and Charles C. Huff (Denton, MD); two sisters in law, Mary Sessoms Huff (Newark, DE) and Shirley M. Huff (Denton, MD); three aunts Anna B. Thomas (Wilmington, DE), Doris Groce Thomas (Wilmington, DE), and Kitty Huff (Floyd, VA); and a close friend, Stephanie McGuigan (Denton, MD). Additionally, Delores is survived by an extensive family which includes six nieces, three nephews, five great nieces, five great nephews and a host of cousins and friends.
