On June 28, 2007, Mrs. Dee Reeder went to be with her Lord surrounded by her family. She was born on April 5, 1947 the daughter of Leonard F. Day Jr. and Delores (Walter). She was a graduate of Lapeer High School in 1965. She went on to retire from the Michigan Department of Corrections in 1997 with a rank of Captain. On November 28, 1980 she married Larry Reeder. Dee is preceded in death by her parents and nephew, Chuck Smith. She is survived by her husband, Larry; son, Michael (Amy) Abruzzo of Rochester N.Y.; daughters, Lisa Reeder of Ionia, Alison Abruzzo of Howard City, Karen Kindel of Ionia; Brenna (Guy) Read of Ionia, and Jennifer (Mike) Stephens of Howard City; grandchildren, Rick (Dyanna) Emmons, Craig (Krystal) Emmons, Katy (Ben) Emmons, Mackenzie and Kyle Kindel, Abigail and Mylee Read, and Jordan and Ashton Stephens; great-grandchildren, Heaven and Alanah; sisters, Debbie (Mark) Smith of Jackson, Michigan, and Darla (Barry) Brocker of Canfield, Ohio; mother-in-law, Oletha Reeder; special niece, Kim Smith; many other nieces and nephews; and dog Beasley.
