PONTOTOC- Deacon Robert “Ticky” Hodges , 83, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Pontotoc Nursing Home in Pontotoc. On Tuesday October 10, 2017, Robert “Ticky” Hodges wrote the final chapter of this life, closed the book and went home to rest. He was born on October 12, 1933 to Randall Hodges and Mrs. Mattie McCoy Hodges. He confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and joined New Salem M.B. Church and later joined the Bethel M.B. Church in Pontotoc, MS. He served on the Deacon Board. He was also a member of Garfield Lodge #61 in Pontotoc, MS.
Ticky leaves to cherish his memories his nephew/Caregiver: Harvey Lee Johnson (Mary) of Pontotoc, MS, two sisters-in-law: Mamie Johnson and Viola Cooperwood of Pontotoc, MS, two brothers-in-law: Alford Johnson of Pontotoc and Roosevelt Johnson of Tupelo, MS, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife: Lois Johnson Hodges, one daughter: Bessie Mae Hodges, his brother: Willie Cleveland Pulliam.
