Today we lay to rest one of God’s faithful soldiers, Deacon Cecatral Turner. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend.
NEW ALBANY- Deacon Cecatral Turner, 88, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2017 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford. Cecatral was born November 23, 1928, in New Albany, MS, to the late Gus and Bernetta Neely Turner. He was one of eleven children. As a young adult, he confessed his faith in Christ as his Savior. He was a loyal and faithful supportive member of Holy Temple Church of God. He truly loved his pastor and church family.

He was united in marriage to Sister Fannie Lou Hill on October 2, 1958. During their 26 years union, they were blessed with three children: Gus Hill, Lee Vester and Telisha Moneak. Along the way Faye Joy was accepted as a very special daughter.

After God called Sis Fannie home, Brother Cecatral was united in holy matrimony to Missionary Ruby Lee Foster on May 12, 1987. To the blended family, Brother Cecatral gained four additional children: Cellastine Holleman, Parletha Hall, Michael Anthony Foster and Lottie M. Boles.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wives, all of his siblings and his son: Lee Vester Turner.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory his sons: Barry Arms of TX, Gus (Denise) Turner of Dearfield Beach, FL, Michael Anthony (Sarah) Foster of New Albany, MS, his daughters, Telisha Turner of Tamarac, FL, Billie Faye Joy, Cellastine Holleman, Lottie (Herbert) Boles all of New Albany, MS, Parletha Hall of Tylertown, MS, many grandchildren, great-grands, nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
