David Kurz, 71, of Warren, MN, died at home in the Landmark Center in Warren, on Wednesday, November 18, 2020.

David J. Kurz was born to Frank and Ruth (Storm) Kurz on March 30, 1949, and was raised in Argyle, MN. As one of six children, David spent his youth on the family farm, getting into trouble and doing all the usual mischief that makes parents shake their heads. He attended St. Rose grade school and the public high school.

In 1970, David was married to Kathy Myrfield; and in 1979, was married to Jan Razmyslowski. Though he struggled to be a “family man,” David had three sons and several step-children. He worked a number of jobs over the years and lived in several of the towns surrounding his hometown, finally landing in Warren for the last few decades. His whole life long, David enjoyed hunting. From his earliest days shooting pigeons in the barn, he perfected his shot and rarely missed a deer on the run. He took great pride in the venison and deer jerky he prepared.

David is survived by his sons, Marc Kurz and Frank Kurz and their families; sisters, Helen Anderson and Ilene (Jon) Slusar; and brother-in-law, Sherman Loges.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, David Wallace; sisters, Evelyn (Rodney) Oja, and Mary Loges; brother, John Kurz, killed in Vietnam in 1967; brother-in-law, Paul Anderson; and both of his former wives.
