David Horgen, 85, of Warren, MN passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at his daughter’s home in rural Mentor, MN with his family by his side under the care of hospice.
David was born on September 22, 1931 in rural Warren, the son of Clarence and Alvina (Anderson) Horgen. He was a life long resident of the Warren area where he attended school. On February 2, 1952, David married Kathleen Kilfoyle in East Grand Forks, MN. They made their home in Warren. In his early years, he worked at Elmer Johnson House Moving which he later purchased and operated for several years. He also worked for many years at Warren Grain and Seed and Mischel Grain and Seed. Kathleen died on January 9, 2007.
He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and the Warren American Legion Post #27.
Left to mourn his passing are his daughters, Suzanne (Michael) Weik of Mentor, MN and Mary Anne Hamm of Thief River Falls, MN; grandchildren, Tyler (Patty) Horgen, Aaron Weik and Anne Weik; great-grandchildren, Peytyn and Bentley Horgen; fiancee, Lois Foerster; siblings, Doris Kay, Julie (David) Floyd, Janet Horgen-Thorson, Bruce (Marlene) Horgen, James (Teri) Horgen and Dennis (Nancy) Horgen; stepmother, Junius Horgen and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Kathleen; brother, Clifford and sister, Judy Oberg.
