He was preceded in death by his father, Hilary. Dave was united in marriage to Carol Gage for 23 years; also surviving are his children Donald Jr. (Karen) Wainright, Steve (Tammy) Wainright and Tammy (James) Brotherton; grandchildren Brandon, Douglas, Hannah and Tyler; great granddaughter, Serenity; mother, Rosaline Kolp; sister Barbara Kolp; brother, Dennis Kolp; sisters-in-law Pam (David) Good and Sondra Emenhiser; his fur baby cat, Gabby and all his special friends of the “Deerwood Gang”.
