David died as a result of an automobile accident. Proceeding him in death are his parents Richard and Gladys Miles and sister-in-law Kathy Miles. Surviving are his children, Melanie (Joe) Murphy and Merlin (Tera) Miles. Grandchildren, Breeanna and Garrett Murphy, Mariah, Brody, Tyson and Tadan Miles and great-granddaughter Grace David. His siblings, Duane Miles, Kay (Ron) Arens, Michael (Cathy) Miles and Pat (Julie) Miles, and special friend, Judy Pung with all of her extended family. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. David was a dairy farmer for over thirty years. He was an extremely hard worker and it was his pride and joy. He sponsored softball and baseball teams. After retiring from farming he worked at the Wagon Wheel to keep busy and for the City of Portland. David was well loved and a very generous man. He donated plasma weekly because he wanted to help people. He loved gardening, baseball, football, going to the movies, eating out, and used to be an avid bowler. He loved to talk and tell stories and spend time with family. David was very happy in his final years with Judy, she brought out the best of him and they liked to travel. They took very good care of each other.
