Darlene J. Marinac, age 83 of Hibbing died Thursday, October 23, 2014 in the Heritage Manor Health Care Center in Chisholm. She was born July 1, 1931 in Aldrich, MN the daughter of Edward and Anna (Brever) Stish and was a graduate of Chisholm High School, Class of 1949. Darlene married Robert S. Marinac on December 15, 1956 in Hibbing and was a longtime Hibbing resident. She was employed by El Queeno Distributing Company, the Cluett Peabody Shirt Factory and the Perkovich Insurance Agency in Chisholm and was a homemaker. Darlene enjoyed baking, fishing, bowling, local sports, and gardening.
Darlene is survived by daughter: Carol (Peter) Waselk of Hibbing; son: Bob Marinac of Burnsville; siblings: Richard (Dorothy) Stish, Elaine Butorac, and Shirley Kloster all of the Twin Cities area, Viola (Roy) Jensrud of New Mexico, and Donna Sterle of Chisholm; grandchildren: Peter and Christina Waselk of Hibbing; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends including her special friend and caregiver Mary Gargano.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband: Robert in 2008.
