Daniel William Wood was born on October 11th, 1978 in Dover, New Hampshire, and died way too soon on July 9th, 2022. Dan still had so many Aldi seasonal items to buy, IPAs and whiskeys to taste, weird concoctions to make out of leftovers in the fridge, and dogs to pet. The greatest sorrow is that he was never truly able to “catch them all” in Pokemon Go, but he did get to level 46, a truly impressive feat for only playing for just over a year.

Dan was not a person who gave half his energy to anything. This was true for games, the love he had for his family and friends, and his work. He spent most of his working life as a restaurant server, which meant that he would never complain at restaurants, even if they put onions on his food. Instead he would just grumble quietly to himself and pick them off. Recently, Dan was in the middle of a career transition, working one of the most thankless jobs in the world, as a substitute teacher. He was set to graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in History in January 2023. Dan finished every one of his assignments on time, at 11:55 when they were due at midnight. He planned to apply as a full-time teacher for the 2023-2024 school year.

Dan leaves behind more family and friends than can be listed, a huge collection of DVDs and video games, an abundance of mustards and hot sauces (including an industrial sized bottle of Old Bay Hot Sauce), and t-shirts from every job he ever had, or concert or sports game he attended.
