Daniel James Tenbarge, 76, of Montgomery City, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2014 at Landmark Hospital, Columbia, Missouri.
Mr. Tenbarge was born in St. Louis, Missouri on December 26, 1937, the son of the late Alvin James and Julia Eleanor (Burgoyne) Tenbarge.
He was the husband of Shelia A. (Vaughn) Tenbarge. They were married October 30, 1998 at St. Charles, MO. She survives in Montgomery City.
Daniel is also survived by a daughter Julie Eagle & husband Alan of Maryland Heights, Missouri, a son Doug Tenbarge & wife Lily of O’Fallon, Missouri, a step-daughter Lauren Layton of Montgomery City, Missouri, a half-brother Micky Sexton of St. Louis, four grandchildren, Maria Cross of California, Matt Tarkington of St. Charles and Daniel & Zackary Tenbarge of O’Fallon, numerous great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
He was a union commercial painter in St. Louis. He was a volunteer fire fighter for the Bridgeton Fire Dept. for many years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors. He enjoyed maintaining his yard and keeping it looking like a golf course. He was a member of the Painters Union of St. Louis.
