Age 81, died Monday, July 18, 2016 surrounded by his family. He was born on September 7, 1934 the son of Ray and Anna Petrie. Dale was a life long farmer in Sunfield and enjoyed winters in Florida for many years. He was preceded in death by his wives Jeanne in 1963 and Ruth in 2001; his special friend, Ruth Seabold; son, Gary Erdman; granddaughter, Kylie Erdman. Surviving are his children Gordon (Sue) Petrie, John (Cindy) Petrie, Diane (Ferry) Anthony, Bill Erdman, Richard (Cheryl) Erdman, Jody (David) Cassel and Molly (George) Cassel; 21 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; sisters-in-law Nancy Wrisley, Diane Starkweather and Mary Wheeler.
