Curtis William Kicker, age 38, of Hermann, passed away on Thursday, July 30th, 2015 at his residence in Washington, Missouri
Curtis was born in Hermann, Missouri on July 14, 1977. He was the son of Robert Kicker and Sheila (Elsenraat) Bruckerhoff
Curtis attended grade school at St. George Catholic School and graduated from Hermann High School in 1995. He was a life-long member of St. George Church, a member of the Hermann Eagles and of the Local 35 Carpenters Union.
Curtis was employed as a union carpenter, he was a journeyman and did finishing work. He has worked for Noltensmeyer Construction, Kenny Heying Construction Company, Tiedemann & Associates, he also worked for Waterhout Construction and lastly for Square Up. He was a very hard worker and an excellent carpenter. He had a lot of pride in the work that he did. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, being in the outdoors, golfing, turkey and deer hunting and enjoying that with his son. He also loved cooking and preparing big meals for his family.
Curtis was an amazing and very loving father. He adored his three children. Anyone that knew him knew he had one of the biggest hearts and always thought of others needs over his own and wanted to take care of those he loved.
Curtis is survived by his mother Sheila Bruckerhoff and his step-father Tom of Hermann, his three beautiful children, Austin, Caitlyn & Ashlynn Kicker of O’Fallon, his brother Craig Kicker & wife Shari of Taos, Missouri, two sisters Crystal Heldt of Topanga, California and Lauren Dudgeon of Hermann, by three step-brothers Clayton & Taylor Bruckerhoff both of Newburgh, Indiana and Rodney Gaddis of Linn, by two step-sisters Lacy Justus of Hawk Point and Tanya LaBoube of Hermann, by a niece Reagan Hutchinson, two nephews Brady Kicker & Weston Hutchinson, by his grandparents Ed & Leona Bauer of Hermann, by a step-grandmother Sylvia Bruckerhoff of Rhineland, a special friend Amie Battocletti & her daughters Kayla & Taylor of Hermann, by many step nieces & nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father Robert Kicker, his step-mother Rita Kicker, by a brother-in-law Lance Cpl. Erik Heldt, by his grandparents Marcellus & Bernice Elsenraat, his grandfather Billy Kicker, by two uncles Floyd Elsenraat and Alan Kicker and by a step-grandfather Wilfred Bruckerhoff.
