Conrad Gryskiewicz, 89, of Argyle, MN, died on June 21, 2011 at the Villa St. Vincent in Crookston, MN.
He was born to August and Angeline (Kurowski) Gryskiewicz on June 24, 1921. He married Ludvine Kuznia on October 12, 1948 and they settled in Alma Township. After 38 years of raising grain and certified seed potatoes, Conrad and Ludvine retired from farming and purchased a lake cabin on Upper Red Lake and started the next phase of their lives. Ludvine died on March 20, 2011.
Conrad loved fishing, making lawn ornaments, building bird houses and bird feeders out in his shop. He enjoyed taking his grandchildren to the cabin and out on the lake “to catch the big one”. If it was too windy to go out, there was always the channel to put the hook in. When waiting for the lakes to freeze, he would go grouse and deer hunting.
Conrad will not only be missed by his family, but also the friends he made in his life.
Left to mourn his passing are his CHILDREN, Janice (Roger) Rybaski of Pierz, MN, Donna (Ronald) Larson of East Grand Forks, MN; GRANDCHILDREN, Rachael (Rybaski) Jeremy Hanson of Garrison, MN, Gabriel (Tina) Rybaski of Pierz, MN, Michael (Amy) Rybaski of Pierz, MN, Angeline (Rybaski) Jason McDuffee of Cushing, MN, Adam Gryskiewicz of Maplewood, MN, Chris (Tiffany) Larson of rural East Grand Forks, MN, and Jade (Larson) Josh Garceau of Alvarado, MN; GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN, Jacob, Jenae, Jacy, Jaxon Garceau, Nichole Shaffer, Samantha Rybaski, Alex and Carter Rybaski, Emma and Keaton Larson, and Kylee McDuffee; SIBLINGS, Donald (Janice) Gryskiewicz of Stephen, MN, Alice Borowicz of Warren, MN, Mary Robertson of East Grand Forks, MN and Pauline (Sven) Olsson of Bloomington, MN and numerous nieces and nephews.
