Age 62, passed away on Friday, June 13, 2008 after a lifetime of health problems. She was born on April 10, 1946 in St. Johns the daughter of Bill and Virginia (Russell) Cunningham. Mrs. Sheaffer was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and the Ionia Moose Lodge. She truley enjoyed playing the organ and teaching religious education classes at church. She had a great sense of humor and loved playing cards and watching baseball and the Pistons. She was preceded in death by her parents; and grandson, Richard Hawley II. Surviving are her 4 children: Brenda (Richard) Hawley, Gary Sheaffer II, Paula Sheaffer, and Lora (Charles) Batchelor; 4 grandchildren: Brandy (Jeff) Hawley, Chase, Emily, and Hayley Batchelor; 1 great grandchild: Taylor Vriesenga; 1 step great grandchild: Vanessa Lemon; siblings: Betty (Rick) Sloat, Fred Cunningham, Russ (Carolyn) Cunningham, and Deb (Doug) Dulek; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She had some really close friends Bert and Pauline “Tilly”, Randy and Jill, Phyllis Brand, Karl and Shirly Russnell and especially Frank Ciangi. May she find peace in the next life.
