Clark Cecil Parrill of Roseau, age 54, died at his home on October 30, 2006 after a courageous battle with colon cancer.
Clark was born on September 12, 1952 in Bottineau, ND. He graduated from Dunseith High School in 1970. He attended Minot State College, and graduated in 1977 with a Bachelor’s Degree of Science with a major in Biology. Clark taught Biology, Earth Science, Chemistry, Physics, Physical Science, Life Science and Anatomy at Newburg High School in Newburg, ND for 12 years. Clark married Nora Birkland of Seattle, Washington on August 16, 1980 in Dunseith, ND. In June of 1990, Clark accepted a full time position at the U.S. Customs Port of Entry in Baudette, MN as an inspector. In 1996, he was chosen to help with the security in the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, Georgia. In February of 1997, Clark accepted a reassignment to the Roseau, MN Port of Entry.
Clark pursued his love of nature by gardening, bird watching, photography, fishing and hunting.
Clark will be deeply missed by his wife, Nora of Roseau; sons, Joshua (Emily) of Grand Forks, ND and Jude of Minneapolis; daughter, Eva Parrill of Roseau; mother, Mildred of Dunseith, ND; sister, LeaRea (Terry) Espe of Bottineau, ND; brother, Joel of Mitchell, SD; nephews, Brady and Marty Espe of Bismarck, ND and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dean.
