Clarence Rudolph Pederson, age 85, of Warroad, MN passed away on July 24th 2005 at the Altru Hospital in Grand Forks.

Clarence was born on February 25, 1920 in Salol, Minnesota, to Richard and Margeret (Langleite) Pederson. He grew up and attended the country school in Salol. He later worked on his parent’s farm in Salol. Clarence and Evelyn LaValla were married on October 23, 1946 in Baudette. They lived in Algoma Township for one month, and then wintered in Norland Township, finally settling north of Salol where they farmed small grains and livestock. In 1987, they moved north of Warroad on Springsteel road. Clarence also worked at Lee’s Plumbing, Polaris Industries, and Marvin Windows.

He enjoyed fishing and hunting, gardening, reading, woodworking and playing cards. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and the stories he told.

Clarence is survived by 8 children, Wesley (Karen) of Warroad, Peggy (Jay Jr) Estling of Roosevelt, Randy of Thief River Falls, Clayton (Susan) Waite Park, Pamela (Roger) Diseth Lengby, MN, Conni (Joseph) Lucca of Roosevelt, Brenda (Doug) Volk of Bismarck, Jody (Roger Jr.) Christian of Warroad, 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; brother, Palmer Pederson of Salol.

Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Evelyn; siblings, Peter, Olianna, Emma, Melvin, Clarence, Tillie, Palmer and Gilbert Larson.
