Portland – Clara M. (Caiazzo ) Giordano of Portland died Saturday March 22, 2014 at Maine Medical Center. She was born in Portland, Maine on June 5, 1925. She was one of 4 children; the daughter of Vito and Rose Caiazzo.
Clara was educated in the Portland schools and graduated from Portland High School in 1944. She worked in her father’s bakery for many years, then went on to work at St. Joseph’s Manor until her retirement in 1986. She enjoyed dancing and playing cards with her lifelong friends, and her favorite hobby was to attend her grandchildren’s many sporting events.
She is pre-deceased by her husband of 57 years, Joseph M. Giordano Sr. She is survived by her 3 children, Joseph M. Giordano Jr, and his wife Cheryl Giordano, Michael A. Giordano Sr, and her daughter Rose Giordano-Sargent, three granddaughters, Nicole Rose Giordano, Angela Rose Giordano and Taylor Rose Sargent; three grandsons, Joseph M. Giordano III, Michael A. Giordano Jr, and Andrew J. Giordano; two great-grandsons, Angelo R. Giordano and Noah R. Giordano.
