Clara Louise Leka Thomas, 86, of Steelville, Missouri passed away May 12, 2008 at Gibbs Care Center in Steelville. She was born March 26, 1922 to Arthur W. and Fannie Mae Galliger Long in Logan County, Illinois. She was united in marriage in 1940 to John H. Leka. In later years, she married Fred Thomas who preceded her in death on January 14, 1990.
Clara Louise will be sadly missed by her one daughter, Linda Bartolo of Springfield, Missouri; four sons, John W. Leka and wife Shirley and James A. Leka all of Illiopolis, IL, Charles Edward Leka and wife Barbara of Riverton, IL and Samuel Luke Leka of Springfield, IL; one daughter-in-law, Carolyn Leka of IL; ten grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, fourteen great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Fred Thomas, one daughter, Vicki Jo Leka, one son, Robert A. Leka, one son-in-law, Elmer R. Bartolo and one sister, Vera Lee Anderson.
Clara was of the Christian Church faith.
