Age 93, passed away Monday, June 5, 2006. She was born on December 30, 1912 in Westphalia the daughter of George and Anna (Koenigsknecnt) Thelen. Mrs. Knoop was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Westphalia. She was a member of the Christian Mothers and Daughters of Isabella. She enjoyed gardening and quilting. Clara was preceded in death by her husband, Albert; daughter, Jane; grandsons, Bruce & Timmy Rowell; sister, Eva Simon; and brothers, Alfred, Otto and Gregor Thelen. She is survived by her children, Catherine (Ray) Rowell of Fowler, Ann Marie (Lawrence) Pung of Portland; Judy (Ray) Fedewa of Portland, Rita (Wayne) Thelen of Lima, Ohio, Henry (Donelyn) Knoop of Ionia, John (Cynthia) Knoop of Portland, and Dennis Knoop of Fenwick; 27 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren; her brother Edmund (Lillian) Thelen and sister-in-law, Mabelle Thelen.
