Christine Inez Clonts, 82, of St. James, Missouri passed away Sunday, March 4, 2012 at the Golden Living Center in St. James. She was born December 19, 1929 in Knobview (Rosati), Missouri to Joe H. Piazza and Nellie Lucille Ramori Piazza. On April 9, 1950 in Rosati, MO, she was united in marriage to Lindell Earl Clonts who survives.
Christine grew up in Knobview (Rosati), MO and moved to St. Louis after high school. She later met her future husband, Lindell, who was from Steelville. They married, lived in Steelville for a few months and then moved to St. Louis where they raised their family. After Lindell retired, they moved to St. James in 1994.
Christine grew up in the Catholic faith. When she was young, she loved to dance the “Jitterbug.” Reading, especially old mysteries and working cross-word and jig-saw puzzles were her favorite passtimes. She was an excellent cook and always took care of her family’s needs. She will always be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She will be sadly missed by her husband of sixty-one years Lindell Clonts; two sons Grayling Miles Clonts and wife Kathy of Mountain Home, AR and Lance Lendo Clonts and wife Melissa of Troy, MO; one daughter Margo Lynn Clonts of St. James, MO; one brother Lawrence C. Piazza and wife Mary Ann of Cuba, MO; brother-in-law Emery Clonts and wife Marlene of Steelville, MO; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister-in-law Eileen Clonts Cape and husband Gerald; and seven brother-in-laws Edwin “Buck” Clonts and wife Susie, Estel Clonts, Lester Clonts, Glenn Clonts, Raymond Clonts, Darrell Clonts and wife Donna and Paul Clonts.
