Age 73, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2009. He was born on December 12, 1935 on the family farm the son of Edward and Pauline (Pline) Goodman. Christie was a lifelong member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and the Portland Knights of Columbus Council #2168. He retired from General Motors after 37 years of service and was an avid Tigers fan. He enjoyed bowling, golfing and took great pride tending to his yard. He also enjoyed traveling, especially wintering in Florida. Christie loved his grandchildren and loved to tease them. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Tony and Ken. Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Patricia; children, Roxanne Johnson, Suzanne Reed, Maryanne Goodman (Harry) Holmes, Christie Goodman, Jr., and David (Beth) Goodman; grandchildren, Sarah, Ryan, Samantha, Camille, Hannah, Bryn, Bowen, Callyn, and Alayna; great grandchildren, Destiny, Cyrus, and Cayden; sisters Geraldine Thocker and Diane (Jim) Leik; sisters-in-law, Betty and Sylvia Goodman; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
