Charles V. Moore of Denton, MD died Friday, January 8, 2016 at the Compass Regional Hospice in Centreville, MD. He was 100 years old.
Born in Denton on August 21, 1915, Mr. Moore was the son of the late James Virgil Moore and Edith West Moore. His wife, Dolly Taylor Moore whom he married in 1941, died on August 17, 2007. Mr. Moore graduated from Caroline High School in Denton in 1935 and Western Maryland College in 1937.
Mr. Moore is survived by a daughter, Victoria Ann Moore of North Garden, VA; a son, Randolph P. Moore of Denton; four grandsons: Noel C. Munson, R. Taylor Moore, Charles A. Moore, and Joseph K. Moore; and four great grandchildren: Katie, Heidi, Joseph, and Luna. In addition to his wife and parents, he is predeceased by a sister, Kathleen Raver; and a brother, Robert J. Moore. The family also extends its warmest thank-you to the two caregivers who helped so much in the last several years and who he loved so much, Sandy Ringgold and Britni Wilson.
