Age 87, passed away with his family by his side on Friday, November 29, 2013. He was born on December 7, 1925 in Clinton County, MI the son of Arthur and Clara (Wieber) Wirth. Mr. Wirth was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters. Charles was a dairy and crop farmer for years, and also spent many years as Custodian at Pewamo-Westphalia High School. He loved bowling, Keno, fishing, playing cards, and watching the Detroit Tigers. Charles married his wife Jane (Cook) on April 7, 1948, and together they shared 50 years of marriage until she passed on April 25, 1998. Also preceding him in death were his son, Larry Wirth; 1 granddaughter; 3 sisters; 7 brothers. Surviving are his children, Marilyn (Jeff) Hawkins, Russell Wirth, Richard (Bona) Wirth, Steven (Debra Freidell) Wirth, and Ruth (Michael) Nitz; 6 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; sister, Agnes Wirth.
