Age 90, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, March 24, 2009. He was born on March 9, 1919 in Dawes, West Virginia the son of Eli and Hattie (Young) Jarrett. Mr. Jarrett was a devoted member of the Ionia First Assembly of God Church where his faith was very important to him. He was a Veteran of World War II serving in the United States Navy and retired from the Michigan Department of Corrections in 1991 as a Welding Instructor/Teacher. He received his Master’s Degree from Michigan State University and was a lifetime member of the NRA. He was an Outdoorsman who had a lifelong passion for fishing and hunting.
