Charles D. Eastman, 78, of New Florence, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at Jonesburg Nursing and Rehab, Jonesburg, Missouri.
Charles was born in Paragould, Arkansas on August 25, 1937, the son of the late Clyde & Elouise (Washington) Eastman.
He was the husband of Carol (Hart) Eastman. They were married on April 1, 1989, at Big Spring, Missouri. Carol survives in the home.
Charles is survived by three sons, Dennis Eastman & wife Linda, of Gray Summit, Missouri and Michael & Scott Eastman, both of San Antonio, Texas; by a granddaughter Jennifer Pipe of St. Ann, Missouri and by two great grandchildren Kayla and Logan. He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Fern Etta (Schneider) Eastman, who passed away in August of 1986 and by a half brother John Williams.
Charles proudly served in the U.S. Army. He worked for NASA from 1958-1965. He then went to work for McDonnell Douglas. After working there he went to work at the Callaway Nuclear Plant from 1977 to 1982. His last job he worked at Handi-Pac until retirement. In his free time Charles managed and coached Khoury league baseball for approximately 10 years. He loved to go hunting, fishing, and enjoyed playing horseshoes and baseball.
