Obituary
Charles “Charlie” A. Vehige of Foristell, Missouri passed away on April 7, 2019 at the age of 76. He is survived by his beloved wife Mary Ann (Simon) and six children, Kathy (Ray) Reininger, Kim (Greg) Spear, Tom (Kelly) Vehige, Chuck (Eileen) Vehige, Melissa (Michael) Love, Kurt Vehige; Dear Grandfather of 18 grandchildren, Karla (Adam), Mark, Rachel, Eric, Cameron, Colin, Carson, Elizabeth, Andy, Daniel, David, Whitney (Jeff), Cortlyn, Shane, Nash, Reagan, Rachael, Jacob; Dear brother to Lemoine (Rita), Paul, Henry (Barb), John (Pam) Vehige; dear sister Diane (Rick) Sitzer; brother-in-law to Alice Vehige, Ann Vehige and Kenny Kothe. He is preceded in death by his father, Leander Vehige, mother, Loretta (Pagel) Vehige, siblings, Leander Jr., Dan and Rosalie Kothe. Charlie was a retired master mechanic and farmer. He loved his Oliver tractors and enjoyed going to tractor pulls. His life revolved around farming and his work shop. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, New Melle and a Fourth Degree – Knights of Columbus. 4-H has been a big part of our entire family for many years. We would like to thank Loving Hands Hospice for their tremendous support during this difficult time. Charlie donated his body to Washington University School of Medicine. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to many. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
