Celeste Sherlock, 64, of Grand Forks, ND, formerly of Manvel, ND, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2022 at her home with her family by her side after a courageous battle with cancer.
Celeste Faith Przybylski was born on May 29, 1958 in Warren, MN, the daughter of Harry Sr. and Florence (Jorgenson) Przybylski. She was raised in French Town of Argyle and Celeste attended St. Rose Catholic School and graduated from Argyle High School. On August 17, 1985, she married Gary Sherlock at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Warren. They lived in Grand Forks, ND for several years before settling in Manvel, ND. Celeste worked at Poly Pac for thirteen years and Manvel Mart for ten years before going to work at Altru Health Systems in 2000. While she was employed at Altru, she was awarded one of the inaugural Altru Legend Awards.
She had many interests including doing arts and crafts, decorating, cooking and baking (especially sugar cookies for the grandchildren).
Her last wish was to go to Biloxi, MS and she was granted that wish through the Dream Foundation which provides end of life dreams. She went to Biloxi at the end of September 2022.
Loving family members who survive are her two daughters, Misty (Donald) Courtney of Zephyrhills, FL and Kimberly (Michael) Ilse of Bismarck, ND; grandchildren, Logan Veenstra, Savannah Courtney, Parker Ilse, Madison Ilse and Grace Ilse; stepdaughters, Becky (Jason) Boman of Warren, MN and Jennifer (Harold) Howdahl of Greenbush, MN; stepgrandchildren, Aly, Cloey and Gaby Boman and Amber, Grant and Melodi Gerszewski; siblings, Jewel Kostrzewski of Argyle, MN, Christine (William) Hickey of Margate, FL, Sheryl Bergeron of Warren, MN, Gail (Teresa) Przybylski of Perry, FL, Romona (Mike) Schmidt of Alexandria, MN, Terry (Patty) Przybylski of Stephen, MN and Debra Kostrzewski of Argyle, MN; sister-in-law, Betty Przybylski of Florida and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry Sr. and Florence; special friend, Randy Littlejohn; brothers, Harry Jr., Roger, David and Mark; sister-in-law, Brenda Przbybylski and two brothers-in-law, Sonny Kostrzewski and August Kostrzewski.
