Catherine (Sargent) Gallagher
Ionia, Michigan
Age 91, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2013. She was born on June 23, 1921 in Grand Rapids, MI the daughter of Charles and Nellie (Conner) Sargent. Catherine worked at Kreskes in Grand Rapids while in high school, worked on the election board there, and lived there until she married Paul R. Gallagher I. She and her husband Paul started Kay Distributing Co. and were in business for 50 years with sons Charles, Paul II and David. Catherine belonged to the Society of Decorative Painters, the National Rifle Association, the Ionia Moose Lodge, was a Republican delegate, and worked at Water’s Shoe Store in Ionia, where her husband was the manager. She also worked in the gift shop at the hospital in Ionia, and also worked with the Cub Scouts. Catherine enjoyed her family and friends, art painting, music, and crocheting. Thanks to Ss.
