Catherine A. Holstine, 80, of Hannibal, passed away at 2:06 A.M. Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at Hannibal Regional Hospital.

Catherine “Cathy” was born September 22, 1939, in Hannibal, MO., the daughter of Glenn W. and Isabel G. (Robinson) Conner.

She was married to Whitney R. Holstine for eighteen years during the early part of her life.  He preceded her in death.

Survivors include her sons, William W. Holstine and Robert R. Holstine. Also surviving is a grandson, Stephen G. Holstine.

Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Thomas G. Holstine and a brother, Glenn R. Conner.

Cathy graduated from Hannibal High School in 1957, and went on to further her education from University of Missouri, Columbia receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education.

Cathy was a music teacher, talented artist, dedicated homemaker, mother of three boys, lifelong pianist, church organist and church choir director at many different area churches.  Cathy also worked as a graphic artist and professional kitchen and bath designer for several local cabinetry vendors.  Although she held a position for a number of years as an executive for the Becky Thatcher Area Girl Scouts, art and music remained her passion.  She always found ways in which to use her artistic talents to supplement a modest living.  Cathy was a wonderful cook and an avid reader as well.  She was always searching for knowledge and exploring the world through books in her down time.
