Phippsburg- Carolyn E. Moore, 73, of Main Road, passed away peacefully with family by her side, on Wednesday, July 1, 2010. She was born on September 17, 1936 the daughter of James E. and Annie V. Gilliam Caton. She grew up in Phippsburg and attended school there. On April 4, 1953 she married Robert F. Moore and they made their home in Phippsburg. Carolyn worked at Auerbach Shoe, Congress Sportswear, Healthtex, owned and operated the Galley Restaurant in Bath with her husband for several years in the early 80”s, Freeport Nursing Home, Jay Brush, and LL Bean. She enjoyed activities with her family, traveling, shopping, gambling, jigsaw puzzles, country western music, and Sunday buffets at the Taste of Maine. Carolyn was a member of the West Point Congregational Church. She is predeceased by her father James E. Caton, a brother; James Caton Jr. and her step father Arlo Parker. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Robert F Moore of Phippsburg; three daughters; Elaine Rowe and her husband Steven of Brunswick, Lynnette Hill and her husband James of West Bath and Kathy Moore and her partner Joseph Jenness of Augusta; her mother; Annie Caton-Parker of Brunswick; two sisters; Barbara Moody of Brunswick and Norma Billings and her husband Norman of Woolwich; Five granddaughters, Angelique MacKenzie and her husband Christopher of Bath, Kimberly Gerow and her husband Aaron of Woolwich, Lisa Koehling and husband David of Phippsburg, Julie Letourneau and partner Kris McKenna of Saco, and Jenny Letourneau and partner Eric Sulzberger of Bath; six great grandchildren, Zachary and Kody MacKenzie of Bath, Joshua and Katelynn Gerow of Woolwich, Brianna and Kelsi Koehling of Phippsburg; and many nieces, nephews, sisters in law and friends that will miss her.
