Carole A. Impallomeni, 75, a long time resident of Washington, ME and former resident of both Peekskill and Yonkers, NY, passed away peacefully, after a courageous battle with emphysema and COPD, on March 3rd at the Penobscot Bay Medical Center in Rockport surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 25, 1939 in Yonkers, NY, she was the daughter of William and Eileen Leavy. Carole worked for many years as a waitress at Elmers Restaurant in Union, and Pine Grove in Damariscotta. She also worked more recently at both The Summer Camp in Washington as a cook, and Camp Kieve-Wavus in Nobleboro as a housekeeper. Carole enjoyed playing BINGO with her friends, as well as taking trips to Atlantic City and Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut. Carole will be remembered for her selfless acts of kindness, such as driving elderly friends to BINGO so they could enjoy what she so enjoyed. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by sisters, Joan Wainright and Maureen Centoducati; as well as a nephew, Robert Barna. Carole is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Alfonse C. Impallomeni of Washington, ME; her children, Robert A. Impallomeni of El Cerrito, CA, and Diane M. Impallomeni and her boyfriend, Paul Kenefick, of Nobleboro. She so enjoyed talking to her children on a daily basis. She is also survived by her large, loving family, including her brother, William Leavy and his ex-wife Barbara Wilson; sister-in-law, Rose Impallomeni; sister-in-law, Vicki Diamond and her husband Nat; brother-in-law, Alfred Impallomeni; brother-in-law, Nicholas Centoducati; nephew, Jim Wainright and his wife Anne; niece, Karen Isidori and her husband Don; nephew, George Barna and his wife Cindi; niece, Kim Bankowitz; niece, Coleen Filingeri and her husband Mike; niece, Laurie Leavy; nephew, William Leavy and his wife Justine; close friends, Richard and Debbie Miller, Alberta Nickles, and Lucy Mills; as well as many cousins, great-nieces and great nephews.
