Carol H. Webster of Denton, MD, died Wednesday, August 16, 2017, at the Memorial Hospital in Easton, MD (UMSMC). She was 78 years old.
Born in Harford County, MD on March 13, 1939, Mrs. Webster was the daughter of the late James LeRoy Hanna and Katherine Slade Hanna. She graduated in 1957 from North Harford High School and attended the Towson University and the Salisbury State College. She earned her Bachelors in Education and her Masters equivalency in education. Mrs. Webster moved to Caroline County in 1960 where she taught school for 33 years. She was active in many committees and groups, serving as President of the Caroline Teachers’ Association. Upon retirement in 1992, she stayed active and served a two-year term as President of the MD Retired School Personnel Association. In addition, she had been very active with the St. Luke’s UMC in Denton, serving on various committees, especially the UMW Debra Circle.
Mrs. Webster is survived by her husband, John W. Webster of Denton to whom she was married on April 9, 1960; three sons, Mark S. Webster (Wendy) of Louisville, CO, J. Michael Webster of Greensboro, MD, and Marty A. Webster (Beth) of Ellicott City, MD; four granddaughters: Samantha, Kendall, Hanna, and Layni; and a sister, Betty Hutton of Spring, TX.
