Calvin “Cab” T. Wright of St. James, Missouri, formerly of Steelville, Missouri was born on November 18, 1928 to Lewy A. Wright and Flossie Perkins Wright and passed away February 28, 2013 at Phelps County Regional Medical Center at the age of 84 years, 3 months and 10 days. Calvin lived most of his life in Crawford County in the Long Ridge Community and attended the Long Ridge School. As a young boy, Calvin began his employment at Chaumiere Farms in Steelville where he worked until his retirement at age 62. For the past several years he had lived with his sister, Jane and her husband Ed in St. James, MO.
Calvin was a very humble and caring person who never met a stranger. He loved his family and his church and always looked forward to meeting with them. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan and always looked forward when the season started and could watch the games on TV or had the opportunity to attend a game.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewy and Flossie Wright; one sister Gladine Wright; and one nephew.
He is survived by two brothers, Edwin E. Wright and wife Faye of Rogersville, MO and John W. Wright of St. James, MO; one sister, Jane Clinton and husband Ed of St. James, MO; two nieces; five nephews; several great nieces and nephews; cousins; and many many friends.
The Family received friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Honored to be casket bearers were Travis Clinton, Brad Clinton, George Adams, Gary Hardecke, Marty Page and Jim Marcellus.
