Faye Gibson Connolly of Denton, MD, died Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at her home. She was 81 years old. Born in Easton, MD on March 11, 1935, Mrs. Connolly was the daughter of the late Jacob Austin Gibson and Mary Margaret DeFord Gibson. She and her husband her husband, William J. Connolly, were married May 12, 1956. He died July 17, 1994. Mrs. Connolly had worked for Dr. Kurt Lederer for many years. She and her husband owned and operated Connolly’s Market in Ridgely, MD from 1969 until 1990. She was a member of the General Perry Benson Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Chapter. She was a member of the St.’s Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church in Easton. Mrs. Connolly is survived by three brothers: Jacob A. Gibson, Jr. of Cordova, MD, John L. Gibson of Queen Anne, MD, and Malcolm G. Gibson of Easton; and one sister, Mary Lou Winstead of Ridgely.
