Obituary
Bob Joe Nelson passed away on March 4, 2019 at the age of 82. He is survived by his beloved wife Sarah “Sally” Nelson nee Fitzmorris of Saint Peters, MO; son, Steve (Wendy) Nelson of Elk River, MN; daughter, Sigrid (Jimy) Nelson- Cooseman of St. Louis, MO; three brothers, Joe Browne of Terlton, OK, Bill Browne of WI, Jackie Browne of Caney, KS; 2 sisters, Laura Lee Gruetzmacher of Tulsa, OK, Joedene Abling, Norward, KS; two granddaughters, Keely Nelson, Sydney Nelson; extended family; Lynn Smith Grigsley, Marcelo Birolli, Kayt Scott, Jessica Patach, Hannah Hawley, Benjamin Hawley. He is preceded in death by his, mother, Edith Nelson nee Harrington, brother, Charles Nelson, sister, Betty Girard, sister, Claudene Wilson. Bob cherished 59 years of marriage to Sally. He was raised and grew up in rural Kansas. He later moved to the greater St. Louis area after graduation from Kansas State University and a brief stint in California. He then began his career at McDonnell Douglas for 33 years. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, wood working, camping and just enjoyed being outdoors. Most of all though Bob loved spending time with his family and when it came to his granddaughters, Bob didn’t know the word NO. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
