Scarborough – Blaine Linwood Coombs, 72, of Portland, passed away on October 15, 2013 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House. He was born in Bar Harbor on June 3, 1941, the son of Blaine P. and Doris (Hall) Coombs.
Blaine served in the United States Army and worked for many years in sales for the State of Maine. Blaine found happiness in his retirement years with his fellow golfers at Riverside Golf Course, with the co-workers and patrons at Shaw’s and his morning coffee buddies at Tony’s Donuts.
Blaine was predeceased by his parents and a son, Steven Coombs. He is survived by his wife Jeanne (Martin) Coombs, his sons Marc Coombs and his wife Anne and Patrick Coombs as well as his grandchildren, Michael Coombs and Kathryn Coombs.
