Beverly Joyce Mikel, 74, of Steelville passed away Saturday, January 27, 2007 at St. Johns Mercy in St. Louis, Missouri. She was born Thursday, February 25, 1932 in St. Louis, the daughter of Elzie and Lula (Flynn) Whiteside. She was united in marriage to Sam Mikel on March 22, 1951 in Piggett, Arkansas and to this union three sons and two daughters were born.
Those left to mourn Beverly’s passing are her husband Sam of 55 years; three sons, Timothy Mikel of St. Louis, Missouri, Danny Mikel of Steelville, Missouri and Larry Mikel of Jefferson City, Missouri; two daughters, Debra Austin and husband Carey of St. Charles, Missouri and Donna Reinagel and husband Steve of Jacksonville, Florida; seven grandchildren, Carey Wayne Austin Jr., Ryan Austin, Brannan Austin, Tyler Austin, Melanie Snelson and husband Rhett, Stephen Reinagel and wife Erica, and Kayla Reinagel; two great-grandchildren, Riley Snelson and Hailey Snelson; two sisters, Glenna Duval of St. Louis, and Alela Huesgen and husband John of Frankenstein, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Juanita Whiteside; one brother, George Whiteside and his wife Mary; and one brother-in-law, Alvin Duval.
Beverly was a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church of Steelville.
