Betty Evelyn Muhonen, age 77 of Mountain Iron died Tuesday, August 26, 2014 in her home. She was born October 6, 1936 in Kinney, the daughter of Leander and Sylvia (Jutila) Johnson. Betty married Laurie “Larry” Muhonen on August 1, 1959 and was a longtime member of Gethsemane Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was employed at the Cluett-Peabody Shirt Factory for many years.
Betty is survived by cousins: William and Carol Rekonen, Edwin Oja, Dale Oja, Judy Rekonen, Kathy Stratton, Ray Maki and many dear friends and neighbors who loved her very much.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
