Betty Carolyn Duley, 79, of Derwood, MD passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Brooke Grove Rehabilitation Center. Carolyn, as we all knew her, was born in Lonoke, Arkansas on February 6, 1935.
Carolyn retired from Montgomery County Public Schools after 26 years of service devoted to helping children. She was an incredible talent. Whether sewing, painting ceramics, or constructing her own greeting cards, she loved to be creative in all aspects. She loved to travel, never refusing even the shortest trip, as long as she was experiencing life. Carolyn will be remembered for so many things, like her quiet gentleness and extraordinary strength. She was endlessly devoted to her family and friends, and always exhibited beauty on the inside and out. She was a true lady, and a remarkably giving woman who treated everyone with dignity and respect. She was a unique gift to this world and will be greatly missed.
Carolyn is survived by her 2 children, Robert (Bob) Duley and Debbie Howe. As well as her 5 grandchildren, Kelly, Jenifer, Logan, Madison, and Kaitlyn. And 3 great-grandchildren, Boston, Chase, and Leo.
