Mrs. Bessie Lee Turner was born November 26, 1930, to the late Jim Turner and Mary Ewen Turner in Benton County, MS.
She departed her life on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at Baptist Memorial Hospital East in Memphis, TN.
She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member and mother of Concord M.B. Church in Lamar, MS. She enjoyed cooking, signing, sewing, and fishing.
Her memories will be cherished by one son: Terry Turner (Stean) of Memphis, TN; five daughters: Ella Mae Ayers, Lula Ayers, Dyann Johnson, Shirley Wilson, and Barbara Ann Braden all of Memphis, TN; thirty three grandchildren, eighty five great grandchildren, fifty one great great grandchildren, and two great great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Jim Turner and Mary Ewen Turner; one son Warren G. Turner; one daughter Stella Banks; two brothers Marcell Moore and Luther Turner; and three sisters Ophelia Turner, Julia Roberts, and Ida Louise Perkins.
