Ms. Griffin, 77, of Meridian, passed away Friday, December 31, 2021, at Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Bertie retired from the Public Health Department after more than 20 years. She attended Central Baptist Church, where she was also a member of the “Red Hat Club”. Bertie was known for her giving spirit and helped anyone she could. She will be most remembered for being a loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her son, Dustin Griffin (Karen); grandchildren, Emma Grace, Benjamin, and Lucas Griffin; brother, John E. Thatch; and niece, Frances Elise Parker (Wade).
She is preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Frances Thatch; and brothers, David E. Thatch and Charlie A. Thatch.
