Bernard Frederick Gruschinsky of Ionia passed away December 30, 2006 at the Blodgett Campus of Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids, MI. He was born in Breaslau, Germany on December 10, 1917. He was preceeded in death by his wife of 52 years Evelyn, and an infant son Bernard Frederick Jr. He is survived by his daughter Shirley Savage of Largo, FL; two grandsons James and Vicki Savage of Venice, FL; and Jeffery and Heather Savage of Kentwood, MI; 8 great-grandchildren and multiple nieces and nephews. He served in the US Navy during the Second World War and the Korean Conflict. He was an Eagle Scout as a teenager in Port Huron, MI.
