Age 91, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2016. He was born on March 23, 1924 the son of Bernard and Viola (Ryan) Bengel . Bernard was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and a farmer for most of his life. He was preceded in death by his wife Genevieve “Jean” Fandel whom he married on May 8, 1946; his son, Gary Bengel, his wife Glee; granddaughters April Bengel and Shelly Goerge; parents; siblings Julius (Marie)Bengel, Helen (Jerome) Barker and Marie Manning; brothers-in-law, Edgar “Bud” Fandel, Denis Fandel and Alvin Fox; in-laws Herman and Hildegard Fandel. Surviving are his daughters, Sandy (Brendon) Goerge, Ann Boak, and Beverly (George) Goerge; 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law Bernadine Fandel, Marilyn Fandel and Ernestine Fox.
