Portland – Benjamin “Ben” Cross Robertson died unexpectedly June 7, 2015. He was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania on February 21, 1980 to Dennis Robertson and Karen Cross. He grew up in Portland, Maine, attending Portland schools. He was well known and loved as a “West Ender.”
Ben always had a love of cooking and was enrolling in the culinary arts program at SMCC at the time of his death.
He is predeceased by his maternal grandfather Theodore Cross, paternal grandparents Robert Robertson Sr. and Dorothy Robertson, and his Aunt Carol Robertson.
He is survived by his parents, his three children Marcus, Mariana, and Maliea, their mother Lisa Fowler, his brother Kerry and his partner Jeanna Pascucci and nephew Kameron, and his grandmother Lillian Cross, all of Portland, Uncle Mark Cross of Sebago, and Aunt Linda Befort of Richmond, Va. From Pennsylvania, he is survived by his brother and sisters Chris Robertson, Brittany Peters, and Kerry Strominger, his Uncle Bob Robertson and Aunt Dorothy Hottle, cousins Hilary and Lindsay. He is also survived by the Jordan family who were friends and neighbors and a big part of his life since early childhood who considered him their own.
We can take comfort in the fact that Ben is finally at peace and that his struggle has ended.
