Belma Louise Walker passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Maries Manor in Vienna, Mo., following a long illness. She was 81 years 1 month and 19 days of age.
She was born February 13, 1934, near Summerfield Mo., in Maries county to the late Silas Marvin Spencer and Elva Magnolia Grey Spencer. She was baptized early in life at the United Pentecostal Church in Rolla. She later married Kenneth J. Rogers and they had six children. In April 8th 1974 she was reunited with her childhood friend Dennis Walker, who preceded her in death on December 1, 2003.
Belma Walker is survived by Daughters: Beverly and her husband Brian Cunningham of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Cathy Hollinger and friend John Lee Cuccarollo of Pensacola Florida; Sons: Bill Rogers of Rolla; Mike Rogers of Fairbanks Alaska and Warren (Sput) Rogers and wife Kathy of Vichy., one sister: Dorothy Walker of Vichy, along with 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her father Marvin Silas Spencer on July the 5th 1943. Her mother Elva Magnolia Grey on November 17th 1959. One infant son Spencer Lee Rogers on November 19th 1959, along with one sister Delphia Stevenson.
Belma was a very caring person who loved to help people. She loved her family and cared for them as only a mother could. She loved to care for people as a medical assistant for many years, healing the sick and helping make the journey home easier. Belma was always looking for a good buy, and bought and sold items at her business, the Vichy Fleamarket. Belma will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
