Bea (Beulah Kathleen Ingraham) Cunningham, loving wife of Craig Calderwood Cunningham passed on Friday December 9, 2016 at the age of 87. Surviving are daughter Carolan Lee and Jeffrey Rasmussen, son Craig Richmond and Patti; Grandchildren Tammy and Scott Harley, Craig (Skipper) and Michelle Cunningham, Amanda, Jeff and Chantelle Best, Amie and Jennifer Cunningham; Shawna French Arshi, Rush and Danielle French, Benaiah and Ann French, Adam and Anne Brereton French, Erin and Joel Rasmussen. Many great-grandchildren; Nathan Harley, Kelsey Harley (deceased); Cassie and James Cunningham; Sierra, Colby and Vivian Best, Gabriella, Zacharia, twins Avigail & Daniella, Michael and Rafael Arshi; Rhea and Bryan French, Liana and Sophia Gray; Maisy, Ethan, Garrison Craig and Lily French; and Oliver French. Bea is also survived by her sisters, Dorothy Mills and Mona Ingraham, niece Vicki and Armand Lesmerises, and nephew Josh Mills (deceased), sister in law Mary Jane Carter and several grand nieces and nephews.
Bea was born in Camden, Maine on August 10, 1929, the daughter of Joshua and Virginia (Moore) Ingraham. She graduated from Camden High School and married Craig in December, 1947. Craig and Bea spent many happy years on Norton’s Pond, Lincolnville, Maine. They lived in New York for many years and relocated to Cundy’s Harbor, Maine in 1984.
Bea was an accomplished Early American Decorator of stenciling, theorem painting, tole and design. She was accepted into the Guild of Early American Decorators. Her presentation pieces received A+ allowing membership into the Guild. She enjoyed many years instructing the art and passing on her skills. She studied in Cooperstown, NY and Fletcher Farms in Vermont. She was also accomplished at reverse painting on glass and basket weaving.
