Barbara Lee Owens May, 78, of Berlin, Maryland, died Saturday, March 29, 2014, at the University of Maryland Medical Center.
Born February 20, 1936, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Robert Calvin and Martha Ingram Smith Owens. She was the wife of the late Ronald May, who died in 2003. They were married for 16 years.
She retired from the U.S. Government in 1992, where she worked as an analyst for 34 years.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Pamela Doreen Millard Wright and Franklin Keith Wright, Jr., her son, Clifford Bret Cody, her granddaughter, Melissa Brooke Lydard Christiansen, and her great-granddaughter, Penelope Evelyn Christiansen. She was preceded in death by her sister, Evelyn Brooke Owens Tierney, and by her grandson, Neil Bret Cody.
