Portland – Barbara Gagnon Marcisso passed away Monday, April 13, after a brief illness. She recently turned 86. A feat, after years of fighting throat cancer, that she was quite proud of.
Barbara was born on March 23rd 1929, the first child of Walter and Emily Redman Knight in Portland, Maine. Her early years were spent with her siblings, Walter, Vivian, Gene & Martha, her family, and friends on Munjoy Hill. She attended Portland schools graduating from PHS in 1947. Barbara married Wilfred Gagnon Senior and the two started a family shortly thereafter.
